There's a whale on my wall
I do understand & like the minimalist style despite my love of combining toys, patterns, colors, lamps, rugs, beds, artwork, mobiles, desks and all the things I just can't get enough of. And this is one minimalist room that i love. It's simply, a bed, wall mural and toy chest - yet it is still colorful, boyish and creative. I am not sure what the script on the murual says, but i am thinking maybe something simple like "there's a whale on my wall? if anyone can tell me different, i would love to know."
Sisterhood
I am lucky enough to have 2 wonderful sisters. I shared a room with my sister Letisha growing up and although i always wanted my own room, we did have lots of fun. I love this photograph being the focus of this room. It's such a beautiful image but also a sweet reminder of how much fun and how special our brothers and sisters are. The only problem my sister and I would of had with such an image was deciding who got to keep it when we moved out of home.. But i am the eldest, so i am sure that would of meant me!
Wallpaper and donuts
When i was young, much younger, i wanted a gingerbread house. I didn't even like gingerbread but the candy and lollipops looked delicious and I couldn't wait for a midnight snack of iced donuts which i'd take from the windows. Now that i am older, much older, i would prefer a wallpaper house. I love the contrasting colors and patterns and the pot plant as a chimney on the roof..genius idea. Maybe i can incorporate donuts into my wallpaper house, then it would be the perfect home!
Ships Ahoy
This wall mural by Haciendo el Indio takes me into another world. I love the simplicity, the colors, and the dotted wall. It makes me want to put on my gum boots (i don't want to get wet) & jump aboard, ready for an exciting adventure at sea.
